what you mean why? most companies with spare cash payed 10-50x what they actually need in tokens, just to see how it goes. it’s useful, it’s not that useful, so while the price per token can increase, everyone is getting smarter about spend. and even price has a limit, you can’t make ai more expensive than a human, because then everyone would just hire humans.

Why? There are tons of machines that companies pay for that cost more than a human. There are a lot of benefits to getting a reliable machine (if you can get it) to do a task rather a collection of humans.
