> in an even thinner and lighter design
Never once did I hold my iPad mini with a case and think, "damn this thing is heavy"

I’ve been raw dogging my mini for the past couple of days because I removed the Smart Folio to wash off all the accumulated gunk. The sudden thinness and lightness was amazing.

Just because it's good doesn't mean it can't be better
The novelty of how thin my M5 iPad Pro is still hasn't worn off. Sometimes it's just nice to hold some tech in your hand that feels like it's from the future.

Since when have we established "thinner and lighter" equals "better"?
In the case of iPhone Air and Galaxy Edge phones, there were notable compromises to achieve a thinner body, for which many people don't consider an improvement.
Granted, I have not seen or used the new iPad mini, and I don't know if any such compromise has been made. But probably should leave it open until we conclude this is a plus.

You don’t really understand how heavy devices are unless you have something to compare to.
