Are today's prices actually the ceiling? OpenAI added a $500 tier pretty recently while lowering capacity for their $200 tier. I wouldn't be surprised to see Anthropic doing something similar soon, particularly once they are a publicly traded company beholden to making shareholders happy.

I would think there's a nonzero chance they raise enterprise prices as well... is a big corporation with thousands of employees relying on cloud LLM suddenly going to significantly cut their AI spending due to a 5 or even 10% increase?
Is it wise to believe that once Anthropic (and OpenAI, for that matter) are public, that they won't start looking for ways to improve margins, such as increasing enterprise pricing even by single-digit percentages given it comprises the lion's share of their revenue?
e.g. adding 5% on top of API pricing isn't likely to cause noticeable churn if at all, and yet 5% of a massive number can make a meaningful difference in share price.

Like renting shop space in my city, i can pay 500e monthly for nice location, but it's either for fun or hope I will make money from it.
I know guy who run cafe from his IT salary.
Thinking, up to specific price, it's great tool for devs, and from some higher price, you think more about how to earn money back.
as a person, i would absolutely not pay more than $1K for ai, because at that point i can just get myself a bartening job
