AFAIK, green-screen, a.k.a. "chroma key" replaces the green colored parts of the video with some other background image/video. However, you've noticed it works poorly around the edges, depending on the lighting and other things. This is software containing a machine learning model that produces more a accurate "key" (mask) than simple chroma-matching.
