Is it still possible to cross the Atlantic in 3 days by passenger ship? I've never thought of that but I'd certainly like to try as an alternative to the severe jetlag I get as I age.
Travis Barker tells an interesting story of how he made several crossings on the QM2 to perform with Blink-182 to perform in Europe. He was (understandably) afraid of flying for many years after being badly injured in an airplane crash. So the rest of the band would fly to concerts and then he would catch up by bus or ship.
They seem to have a program offering talks from artists and scientists. Anyone know how you can get recruited here? Seems like a good plan for retirement - share knowledge on ship voyages.
But while the intro mentions talks, “Activity Manager” seems to be the only open position that mentions talks. Activity Manager doesn’t sound like as much fun as the gig you proposed.
