Insane take. This has like 10x the number of failure modes than a proper signalling system with verifiable software design.

This is not run the system, it is a way to monitor and see if they are going to kill you!

And what are you going to do, pull the emergency brake "because an app told me to"?

The conductors and everybody else will be warned by the same app; passengers are going to pull the alarms. Collision is not fate!
