If you don't have a general release date to announce then STFU. An undefined "coming soon" just makes people feel excluded and angry.

I'd go one further, if you're not actually releasing it, then STFU. Google's working on a model? Yeah, obviously. If I can't use it today, they need to just keep their mouths shut. I'm tired of their vaporware.

What's vaporware? They announced Argon and it was publicly launched a month later. Same with the previous models.

"Launching" something that doesn't exist at launch date is vaporware.
