A DoS like this is quite bad (in theory at least) but I think it's the first time I've seen one dressed up with a hypeslop landing page.

I was wondering if that ai created site style had a name. 'hypeslop' seems like it could be perfect.

Hi I saw your post on eMudhra "refusing to elaborate on how exactly the failure occurred", but in fact they elaborated before the news stories even broke:

And again with the follow-up issue:

What gives it away?

Claude at least loves its punchy bullet points.

Also, I want to expunge the word "shape" from my vocabulary at this point. I think I'm developing a nerve twitch just reading it.

It's the uncanny valley for text. Models were previously nicer to talk with because they were incompetent enough to still appear to be machines to our minds.

Shape triggers me as well now.

The style / design in general looks AI. Generate enough sites, reports, etc and you'll recognize it without even being able to articulate why it's AI.

But imo it's not a bad thing. Most sites looked like shit in the past. The content is usually where I focus my changes when dealing with LLM generated HTML. And if I want it slightly less LLM flavored in terms of design I just pick a random design system to tell it to use. Apple HIG, IBM Carbon, etc.

Usually just picking your own palette, a design system, and making it remove all the stupid details it decides to add will improve your end result by a lot.

Oooh fun, the rare moderator superdownvote. My comment currently has +58 karma but it's been demoted to the bottom of the thread.
