One question from my total ignorance of US culture and baseball in particular and tbh didn’t read the article because of the lack of interest: why is called World Series? Are there more countries playing in the same league? Is this like championship among the best teams of leagues from different countries?

It was called that going back to the era when baseball was "America's Game." There's a much newer competition called the World Baseball Classic where actual national teams compete against each other, where Japan and many Central/South American countries are the most successful other than the US.

Toronto is in the league. I agree it is a silly name but it’s not going to change anytime soon as it’s a tradition going back more than a century
It’s also worth pointing out that MLB has the best players from all around the world. The Dominican Republic and Japan have strong baseball players and their best players tend to end up in MLb
Canada also has a team, the Toronto Blue Jays, so pedantically, yes, there are more countries.
The World Series is the championship of US baseball, between the best teams in the two leagues, but there's unfortunately no championship crossover with other countries professional baseball leagues like Japan, Mexico, Caribbean leagues, etc.
