ah yeah, golden times of crawling google when they actually didn't monitor ipv6 traffic properly against scraping (seo monitoring tools were first to drive 'adoption', lol)
I don't know what you count as “golden times”, but at least when we started the measurements, there was no indication bot traffic would drive up these stats at all. (You wouldn't trigger it just by fetching a search result page.)
